Hawkeye Trailer: Clint Barton's Past Returns - Disney+

A Festive Mission for Hawkeye
The forthcoming installment within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is slated to launch on Disney+ in November. Fittingly, Hawkeye unfolds against a holiday backdrop. Clint Barton, known as Hawkeye, simply desires to celebrate Christmas with his loved ones, however, adversaries are poised to disrupt his plans.
Jeremy Renner Returns
The series signifies Jeremy Renner’s reprise of his role as Hawkeye. He is joined by a new ally: Kate Bishop, portrayed by Hailee Steinfeld, who confidently proclaims herself the “world’s greatest archer.”
Hawkeye is anticipated to focus on the dynamic between these two skilled archers. The narrative suggests Clint will mentor Kate, preparing her to potentially succeed him as Hawkeye, mirroring the comic book storyline.
The trailer offers glimpses of this potential transition, showcasing their initial encounter and the development of their collaborative partnership as they confront various opponents.
Connections to the Wider MCU
The series includes references to other elements within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These include a Broadway production dedicated to Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, and an allusion to the “masked vigilante” Hawkeye previously faced in Avengers: Endgame.
Notably absent from the trailer is Florence Pugh, who debuted in the MCU as the assassin Yelena Belova in Black Widow earlier this year. Her casting in Hawkeye was announced in December of the previous year.
Premiere Date
The first season of Hawkeye, consisting of eight episodes, will premiere on Disney+ on November 24th. Viewers will soon discover the consequences of the eventual meeting between Yelena, Clint, and Kate.
