Disable Blinking Text in Firefox - Stop the Annoyance!

Eliminating Distracting Blinking Text in Firefox
Frequently, webpages employ blinking text, which can prove to be a significant distraction for users. This article details the process of disabling this feature within the Firefox web browser.
Recently, encountering a website utilizing excessive blinking text prompted a recollection of a useful Firefox customization. While this technique has been documented previously, a dedicated guide hasn’t yet been created on our platform. Therefore, we will provide a step-by-step walkthrough.
Accessing Advanced Configuration
Begin by launching Firefox. In the address bar, type about:config and press Enter.
A warning message regarding potential warranty implications may appear. If so, select “I’ll be careful, I promise!” and optionally uncheck the box labeled “Show this warning next time” to suppress future alerts.

Modifying the Blink Setting
Within the Filter box, either type or copy and paste the following text: browser.blink_allowed.
Observe that the current value is set to true. To disable blinking text, double-click on this entry to toggle the value to false.
browser.blink_allowed

Confirm the change by double-clicking the entry, ensuring the value now reads false.

Verification and Compatibility
Test it Out
Refresh the current webpage. The previously blinking text should now remain static. This method was tested successfully on Firefox version 3.5.3, but is expected to function correctly on earlier Firefox releases as well.
