Disable Admin Logon Warning - Windows Home Server

Suppressing the Administrator Logon Warning in Windows Home Server

Windows is designed with user protection in mind, and Windows Home Server continues this approach. Upon logging in with administrator privileges, a caution message is routinely displayed. However, this message can be disabled to streamline the login process for your server.

The following illustrates the warning message that appears within Internet Explorer during administrator login.

Disabling the Warning Message

To deactivate this notification, initiate the System Configuration Utility. Click Start, then Run, and type 'msconfig' into the input field. Alternatively, you can press Enter or click the OK button.

Within the System Configuration Utility, navigate to the Startup tab. Locate the entry labeled "Logon Warning" and deselect the corresponding checkbox. Confirm your changes by clicking Apply, then OK.

A server restart is required for the changes to take effect. Following the reboot, the logon warning will no longer be displayed.

This process effectively removes the recurring caution, providing a more efficient administrative experience. The Startup tab in msconfig is the key to this adjustment.
