Daasity Secures $15 Million in Series A Funding

Daasity, a company specializing in e-commerce analytics and data solutions, has successfully raised $15 million in Series A funding. This investment will fuel the continued development of their platform, designed to empower consumer brands with enhanced customer data utilization for improved strategic decision-making.

Investment Details

VMG Catalyst spearheaded the oversubscribed funding round, with participation from existing investors including Cove Fund, Exeter Capital, 1855 Capital, Mooring Ventures, Okapi Venture Capital, and Serra Ventures. According to CEO Dan LeBlanc, this brings the company’s total funding to $20.7 million.

Core Technology and Functionality

Daasity’s technology centralizes data collection from various sources. These include platforms like Shopify, Amazon, Facebook, and Klaviyo.

The platform then analyzes this consolidated data and distributes actionable insights to marketing channels. This process optimizes customer experiences based on historical performance analysis.

The Growing Need for Data-Driven Insights

“The number of consumer product brands is unprecedented, and competition has reached its peak,” stated LeBlanc. “Success hinges on access to accurate data, enabling quicker and more informed decisions.”

He further emphasized the increasing demand for data and Daasity’s commitment to providing brands with the necessary infrastructure to access and leverage it effectively.

Growth and Current Client Base

Currently, Daasity collaborates with over 1,600 brands. Notable clients include Manscaped, Vuori, and Caraway Home.

The company experienced a substantial 300% increase in annual recurring revenue and a 100% growth in its workforce over the past year.

Future Plans and Investment Allocation

The newly acquired funding will primarily support continued employee expansion. LeBlanc anticipates a further 160% growth in headcount by the end of 2022.

Investments will also be directed towards enhancing technology development. This includes improving data accessibility, expanding data sources, and creating educational resources to facilitate better insight interpretation.

Modular Data Infrastructure and Integrations

Daasity is focused on creating a modular data infrastructure for brands. This will allow for customizable data infrastructure components, similar to selecting items from a menu.

The company plans to add 35 new integrations, encompassing data sources, warehousing solutions, transformation tools, and visualization platforms.
