Users of Windows 7 can find the editor by navigating to the Start menu and looking within the System Tools section, which is located inside the Accessories group.

Choose an unoccupied cell within the presented grid and confirm your selection by clicking OK.

A rudimentary image editing interface will then appear. This is the environment where you will begin the process of crafting your unique characters.

Character Creation and Design
Beginning with a completely new design is perfectly viable, allowing you to craft characters from the very foundation. The Private Character Editor provides fundamental tools – including pen, eraser, and both filled and outlined oval and rectangle options – however, anticipate that this process may require a significant time investment.
To streamline the process, consider utilizing an existing character sourced from a system font already installed on your computer. Access this functionality through the Window menu, then select Reference.
Selecting a Base Character
The typeface you wish to work with can be chosen by clicking the Font button located at the screen's bottom. Subsequently, select the character that will serve as the foundation for your custom design.
Clicking OK will then load the chosen character into the editor for modification.

The selected character is displayed in a separate window, functioning as a visual guide during your design process.
It can also be directly copied and pasted into the editing workspace.

Activate one of the selection tools found in the left-hand toolbar. Draw a selection around the character within the Reference window.

Alternatively, within Microsoft Word, you can directly input the hexadecimal code corresponding to the character.
Following the code entry, pressing Alt+X will transform the code into its associated symbol.
