The Functionality of Clarify

The utility of these tools is demonstrated in the image provided. Clarify also incorporates annotation capabilities, but extends its functionality beyond simple post-capture editing.

This limitation is a primary reason for my preference for Jing. The screenshot displayed below demonstrates a scenario where Clarify would be unable to capture the necessary information; Jing was required to achieve the desired result.

When utilizing Clarify to capture screenshots, the resulting image files are automatically incorporated and displayed within your document. A related feature enables the creation of lists directly from the sequence numbers. This "Create Lists From Sequence" option can be integrated into the textual portions of your document, providing another valuable time-saving benefit.

Even after a document has been saved, annotations, screenshots, and complete steps remain editable. They can be repositioned, substituted, or removed as needed.

Feature Comparison
Clarify incorporates a substantial portion of the core functionalities found in more sophisticated software such as ScreenSteps.
However, a key distinction lies in Clarify’s inability to export documents directly to Word processing formats or blogging platforms.
Not all users require the extensive capabilities of an advanced screen capture tool.
Nevertheless, individuals who frequently convey how-to guidance will likely discover Clarify to be a significant efficiency booster.
