Manus AI Funding: Chinese Startup Valued at $500M

Manus AI Secures $75 Million in Funding
Manus AI, a Chinese startup focused on the development of AI agent tools, has successfully raised $75 million in a new funding round. This investment was spearheaded by Benchmark, resulting in a company valuation of approximately $500 million, as reported by Bloomberg.
Expansion Plans
The newly acquired capital will be strategically allocated towards expanding the company’s reach into several key international markets. These include the United States, Japan, and regions within the Middle East, sources familiar with the matter have indicated to Bloomberg.
Significant Valuation Increase
According to Bloomberg’s reporting, this latest funding round has resulted in a fivefold increase in Manus AI’s valuation. Previously, the company had secured over $10 million in funding from investors such as Tencent and HSG, formerly known as Sequoia China.
Recent Product Launch and Subscription Model
Manus AI gained considerable attention in March with the unveiling of a demonstration showcasing a versatile AI agent capable of performing a diverse range of tasks. Initial testing by TechCrunch revealed performance discrepancies compared to the advertised capabilities.
Following the demo, the company introduced tiered paid subscription plans. These plans are offered at price points ranging from $39 to $199 per month, providing users with access to the company’s AI agent technology.
The company’s focus remains on refining its AI agent technology and broadening its global presence.
