Extra Crunch Live: Madrona and Coda

June 2 – 3pm ET/12pm PT

Soma Somasegar brings 27 years of experience from Microsoft to his current role as managing director at Madrona. His focus includes machine learning, robotic process automation, and the future of work, with investments in companies like Snowflake and UiPath.

He also invested in Coda, a company redefining the document experience, which has secured $140 million in funding. Somasegar will be joined by Shishir Mehrotra, co-founder and CEO of Coda, to discuss the fundraising journey and beyond.

Extra Crunch Live: MaC Venture Capital and Wonderschool

June 16 – 3pm ET/12pm PT

Marlon Nichols, founding partner at MaC Venture Capital, has invested in companies such as Gimlet Media, MongoDB, and Wonderschool. Chris Bennett, founder of Wonderschool, will join Nichols to discuss the Series A fundraising process and provide feedback on live pitches.

Extra Crunch Live: Emergence and Retail Zipline

June 23 – 3pm ET/12pm PT

Lotti Siniscalco has a strong background in fintech, with experience at NerdWallet, Goldman Sachs, and Ribbit Capital. She now invests in early-stage software companies at Emergence.

She will be joined by Melissa Wong, founder of Retail Zipline, a company that has raised nearly $40 million. They will review Zipline’s initial pitch deck and offer feedback on pitches from the audience.

Extra Crunch Live: Maverick Ventures and Cityblock Health

June 30 – 3pm ET/12pm PT

Ambar Bhattacharyya, managing partner at Maverick Ventures, has overseen 11 IPOs and acquisitions during his investment career. He has previously worked at Bessemer and Bain.

Iyah Romm, co-founder and CEO of Cityblock Health, which recently achieved unicorn status, will join Bhattacharyya to discuss successful fundraising strategies in the health tech sector. The pair will also provide feedback on startup pitches submitted by the audience.
