TechCrunch Launches European Investor Survey

TechCrunch has initiated a comprehensive project focused on surveying investors throughout Europe, encompassing various cities and regions.

The survey will specifically target Angels, accelerators, and VCs in Belfast and Northern Ireland. It aims to assess the current state of affairs and identify the changes occurring within the investor landscape as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Understanding the Evolving Startup Scene

We are keen to understand how Northern Ireland’s startup environment is developing. The impact of COVID-19 on the technology sector is also a key area of investigation.

Furthermore, we want to gauge how investor perspectives are shifting and will continue to evolve moving forward. This survey will exclusively incorporate input from investors.

Survey Details and Participation

The questionnaire consists of concise questions, though more detailed responses are encouraged for richer insights.

You can access and complete the survey at this link.

Investors who contribute to the survey will be prominently featured in the resulting reports, with links provided to their respective companies and professional profiles.

Key Areas of Inquiry

The survey explores several critical themes, including:

  • Which emerging trends are generating the most excitement?
  • What innovative startup concepts are currently lacking in the market?
  • Where are the most promising, yet currently underestimated, opportunities?
  • What criteria are being prioritized in upcoming investment decisions?
  • How is the local investment ecosystem performing?
  • In what ways has COVID-19 altered investment strategies?

This initiative is part of a larger series of surveys designed to assist founders in connecting with suitable investors.

Further information about the survey series can be found here.

Broader European Participation

Although focused on Northern Ireland, the survey is open to all European investors. Participation is welcome even if you are not located in Northern Ireland.

Data collected will also be utilized for future surveys concentrating on specific industry verticals.

The survey covers nearly all cities and countries within the Union for the Mediterranean, allowing investors to easily locate their region.
