Beyond Meat Expands Plant-Based Offerings with New Chicken Tenders

Beyond Meat has revealed the nationwide rollout of its innovative plant-based Chicken Tenders, now available at over 400 restaurants across the United States. This announcement signifies continued expansion for the California-based company, building on recent successes including increased availability at Walmart, partnerships with Taco Bell, and a strategic entry into the Chinese market.

A New Recipe, A Fresh Start

Despite the similar nomenclature, the company emphasizes that this product represents a distinct formulation compared to their previous Chicken Strips. The earlier iteration of chicken strips, which predated the renowned Beyond Burger, was discontinued in 2019 due to comparatively lower consumer demand.

The newly developed recipe primarily utilizes fava beans and peas. Each serving delivers 14 grams of protein and boasts a saturated fat content less than 40% of that found in conventional chicken tenders. Furthermore, the product is free from cholesterol, antibiotics, and hormones – a distinction not commonly shared by major poultry producers.
