Returning to the Standard Google Homepage

A user recently contacted us regarding a change in their Google homepage display. They reported that their homepage had unexpectedly switched from the standard Google interface to iGoogle, and they expressed a preference for reverting to the original view.

This issue arises from recent modifications to Google’s design. The process for returning to the classic Google page is now less intuitive, and once an account is configured to utilize iGoogle, it will consistently present that version.

How to Revert to Classic Google

The solution is straightforward. Simply locate the Gear icon positioned in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

From the menu that appears after clicking the Gear icon, select the “Classic Home” option.

Upon selecting this option, your homepage will immediately return to the standard Google layout.
