Double Driver - Backup & Restore Hardware Drivers

Simplifying Driver Reinstallation

Reinstalling an operating system can be a complex process, and one of the most time-consuming tasks is locating and reinstalling all the necessary drivers for your computer’s hardware. Often, the original installation media for hardware components is unavailable. Even when it is, the drivers included are frequently outdated.

To circumvent these difficulties, a useful tool called Double Driver offers a streamlined approach to driver restoration.

Utilizing Double Driver

Begin by launching Double Driver after installation. Initiate the driver detection process by clicking the Scan button.

Upon completion of the scan, you have the option to save individual drivers or select all of them at once.

To create a backup of your drivers, simply press the Backup button.

A directory should then be chosen to store the backup files, and the process can be started by clicking OK.

A progress indicator will be displayed during the driver backup procedure.

Confirmation of a successful driver backup will be shown upon completion.

All backed-up drivers are automatically organized into separate folders, facilitating easy management and retrieval.

A further beneficial feature allows for the creation of a printed list of drivers or saving them as a text file. This is particularly useful when maintaining multiple computers simultaneously.

It’s worth noting that alternative methods for transferring Windows drivers between computers have been discussed previously. However, Double Driver generally presents a more efficient and user-friendly solution.
