Are You Prepared to Compete in the Startup Battlefield?
Possessing a compelling pitch, a functional MVP, unwavering composure, and the ambition to excel are the key attributes needed to become a Startup Battlefield champion.
If your startup aligns with this profile, submissions are now being accepted for the Startup Battlefield competition at TC Disrupt 2021, scheduled for September 21-23.
A Chance to Win $100,000
Early-stage startups globally – irrespective of location or industry – will contend for $100,000 in equity-free prize funds.
This substantial financial injection is accompanied by extensive global visibility, significant media coverage, and considerable investor attention. Winning the Disrupt Cup also brings with it considerable prestige.
How the Competition Works
Participation in, and application to, the Startup Battlefield is entirely free – there are no application fees or equity requirements.
The TechCrunch editorial team will meticulously evaluate all submissions, selecting approximately 25 promising startups to participate in the premier pitch competition within the tech industry.
Intensive Preparation and Training
Founders selected for competition will receive several weeks of focused training from the Startup Battlefield team – at no cost.
This training will refine your presentation skills, optimize your pitch, and polish your business model, ensuring you are fully prepared to present on the world’s most recognized tech stage.
The Pitch and Q&A
You will present your pitch and demo to a panel of leading venture capitalists within a six-minute timeframe.
Following your presentation, the judges will engage you in a rigorous Q&A session. Successful candidates will advance to round two with a new panel of judges, and ultimately, the final round will determine the Startup Battlefield champion.
A Virtual Competition Experience
Rachael Wilcox, a creative producer at Volvo Cars, offered insight into the virtual competition format following last year’s event.
“The virtual adaptation of the Startup Battlefield was remarkably effective. The energy, enthusiasm, and potential of the young founders were readily apparent.
The chat feature facilitated audience participation, allowing for questions that might not be possible in a live setting.”
The VIP Experience at Disrupt
Competing teams receive a VIP experience at Disrupt, offering significant benefits.
This includes global exposure to journalists seeking innovative startups and VCs looking to invest in promising talent.
