Apple Wallet Travel Features in iOS 26

Apple Wallet Enhancements for Travelers
During WWDC 2025, Apple unveiled upcoming improvements to Apple Wallet, focusing on streamlining the travel experience.
The Wallet app is set to incorporate digital passport storage, alongside expanded functionalities for boarding passes designed to simplify travel procedures.
Digital Passports and Identity Verification
Apple clarified that the digital passport feature isn't intended to supersede physical passports.
Instead, it will function as a convenient method for age and identity verification within compatible applications and at participating TSA checkpoints.
This new capability may prove particularly useful for individuals who have not yet obtained their Real ID.
Enhanced Boarding Pass Features
Boarding passes have been a feature of the Wallet app for some time, providing readily available access from the device’s lock screen.
With the release of iOS 26, these boarding passes will receive a significant upgrade with a range of new features.
Users will now find direct links to terminal maps integrated within their boarding passes, facilitating easier navigation to gates and baggage claim areas.
Luggage Tracking Integration
A new integration with the Find My network will be available through the Wallet app.
This allows travelers to monitor the location of their luggage equipped with AirTags directly from their boarding pass.
This feature will be especially helpful when retrieving baggage at the claim area.
