Apple Sports App Adds Live Tennis Scores & Redesign

Apple Sports App Expands Coverage with Tennis and a New Home Screen
The Apple Sports application, initially released in the previous year, is now incorporating tennis coverage in anticipation of Wimbledon. This update coincides with a complete overhaul of the app’s home screen, as Apple revealed on Wednesday.
Live Tennis Scores and Match Tracking
Users can now readily access real-time tennis scores for both Grand Slam and 1000-level tournaments. Detailed tracking of every point is available for all men’s and women’s singles competitions.
The app allows fans to monitor a player’s advancement throughout a tournament. Comprehensive results are provided for each match, starting from the initial round and continuing through to the championship final.
Redesigned Home Screen for Enhanced User Experience
Apple states that the redesigned home screen aims to simplify how fans follow their preferred teams and leagues. Events and upcoming matchups are now organized by league affiliation.
Display order is customized based on each user’s individual preferences. This ensures the most relevant information is presented first.
A user’s favored teams are consistently positioned at the top of the screen. This allows for quick and easy access to the latest scores and updates.
App Availability and Initial Launch
Apple Sports was first introduced in February 2024 and received an update in August of the same year, adding football scores and Live Activities support.
Currently, the application is accessible to users in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
