Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro: Expected April Release

Apple Intelligence Coming to Vision Pro
Apple intends to integrate Apple Intelligence into its Vision Pro headset via an upcoming software update. Sources indicate this update may arrive as soon as April, as reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.
Initial Plans and Development
Following the initial unveiling of Apple Intelligence in June 2024, reports surfaced suggesting Apple was exploring ways to adapt its AI tools for the Vision Pro. Consideration was given to how these tools would function within a mixed reality environment.
visionOS 2.4 Update
Currently, Apple is targeting the inclusion of Apple Intelligence features – encompassing Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground – within the visionOS 2.4 software update. A developer version of this update could be released this week.
Siri's Future
The initial Apple Intelligence implementation on the Vision Pro will not feature an enhanced Siri. Furthermore, a broader, long-anticipated upgrade to Siri may be postponed due to ongoing engineering challenges and the presence of software bugs.
These delays are reportedly impacting the timeline for a more comprehensive Siri overhaul.
Key Features Included
- Writing Tools: AI-powered assistance for composing text.
- Genmoji: The ability to create personalized emojis using AI.
- Image Playground: A tool for generating images with the help of artificial intelligence.
The integration of these features aims to enhance the user experience on the Vision Pro, leveraging the capabilities of Apple Intelligence.
