Amazon Halo: Fitness & Nutrition Programs Revealed

Amazon Expands Halo Ecosystem with New Health and Fitness Services
Amazon is broadening its presence in the health and wellness sector with the announcement of two new services integrated with its Halo personal health platform.
These additions, Halo Fitness and Halo Nutrition, aim to provide users with comprehensive tools for both exercise and dietary management.
Halo Fitness: Interactive Workouts at Home
Halo Fitness is a new service delivering interactive, at-home video workouts. It shares similarities with Apple Fitness+, offering a guided exercise experience.
The service features workouts led by experienced instructors, including Michael Hildebrand, Elena Cheung, and Elizabeth Andrews.
Real-time health metrics, such as heart rate and intensity zones, are displayed during workouts, leveraging data captured by Halo fitness trackers.
A diverse range of workout types will be available, encompassing cardio, strength training, yoga, outdoor exercises, and mobility sessions.
Halo Nutrition: Personalized Meal Planning
Halo Nutrition is designed to simplify healthy eating through personalized meal planning and recipe discovery.
Users can create customized menus based on their individual dietary needs and preferences.
Alternatively, pre-designed menus catering to specific diets – including keto, Mediterranean, Nordic, paleo, vegan, and vegetarian – will be offered.
At its launch, the service will boast a library of over 500 recipes sourced from partners like Whole Foods and WW.
Integration with the Alexa Shopping List will streamline the process of acquiring necessary ingredients.
Availability and Subscription Details
Both Halo Fitness and Halo Nutrition are included as part of an Amazon Halo membership.
The Halo subscription is priced at $3.99 per month following an initial six-month free trial with the Halo Band, or a twelve-month trial with the Halo View activity tracker.
Halo Fitness will become available to members later this year, while Halo Nutrition will launch in January 2022.
The Halo View tracker distinguishes itself with the addition of an OLED display.
