Amazon Prime: One-Tap Add to Upcoming Orders Now Available

Amazon Enhances Shopping Convenience with New Delivery Feature

Amazon is introducing a novel functionality aimed at streamlining the purchasing process for its customers. The company has announced an update to both its Amazon Shopping app and website.

This update introduces a streamlined method for Prime members to incorporate items into their scheduled deliveries with a single tap, eliminating the need for initiating separate orders.

Reflecting Real-World Shopping Habits

The feature’s design is predicated on a deeper understanding of consumer behavior on the Amazon platform.

Rather than consolidating purchases into a single, large order, shoppers frequently recall additional items or needs throughout the week, leading to multiple transactions.

Amazon has previously addressed the logistical challenges posed by this pattern through initiatives like Amazon Day delivery. This allows customers to designate a preferred day for receiving all their recent orders in one shipment.

Furthermore, the company encourages the selection of slower delivery options by offering digital rewards as an incentive.

“Add to Today’s Delivery” Button

Now, Amazon states that Prime members will encounter a prominent, blue button labeled “Add to today’s delivery” on product pages.

This button is strategically positioned below the “Add to cart” option and replaces the conventional “Buy Now” one-click checkout button.

Amazon notes that an “Undo” option is readily available for immediate removal of items should a user change their mind or accidentally activate the new button.

The “Add to today’s delivery” option will become visible when adding an item to an upcoming order. It is currently being deployed to Prime members in the U.S. for qualifying products.

Prime Membership Costs

Currently, a Prime membership in the United States is priced at $14.99 monthly or $139 annually.
