Amazon Kindle App Now Features Social Integration

Kindle App Update: Changes to Book Discovery and Social Sharing
Many Kindle users will likely find recent changes unfavorable. Amazon has removed direct links to its online store from the final page of sample Kindle ebooks. This alteration is a direct response to new regulations implemented by Apple for iOS devices.
Tapping these previously functional links now results in a "not currently supported" notification. Consequently, locating and purchasing the full version of a book requires users to manually enter the title or copy and paste it into a web browser or utilize one of Amazon’s dedicated iOS applications, such as the newly released Kindle Store app.
New Social Integration Features
Alongside this change, Amazon has introduced social network integration within the 2.8 update of its Kindle e-reader application. This addition allows users to share links to selected quotes and extended passages directly from their ebooks.
It’s important to note that shared content isn't posted directly to platforms like Twitter or Facebook. Instead, a link is generated and associated with the user’s Kindle account.
Before posting, the application provides an opportunity to add a personalized note to accompany the shared Tweet or Facebook update.
Sharing Limitations
Users can share content ranging up to a full page in length. The process mirrors the existing text selection method used for highlighting passages.
However, a currently undisclosed restriction limits the number of times content can be shared from a single Kindle ebook. Attempting to exceed this limit will prevent further sharing from that specific title.
