Alternative Investing Hub Vincent Raises $6 Million

Diversification Drives Investor Interest in Alternative Assets
As financial markets continue to assess the lingering effects of the pandemic, investors are increasingly turning to opportunities beyond traditional public markets to achieve greater portfolio diversification.
Vincent, a platform designed to aggregate alternative asset options, aims to attract this growing investor base. It enables users to explore a wide range of assets across specialized platforms, facilitating the construction of a well-rounded investment portfolio.
Platform Growth and Funding
Slava Rubin, founder of Vincent, reports that over 100,000 individuals have utilized the platform since its November launch. Currently, 75 partner platforms are integrated into the Vincent ecosystem.
Rubin, formerly a co-founder of the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, announced to TechCrunch that Vincent has secured $6 million in Series A funding. LAUNCH led the round, with participation from 8VC and Digital Currency Group, among other investors.
Targeting a Broad Investor Base
Vincent intends to serve both accredited and unaccredited investors, with the current user base being roughly evenly divided between the two. The platform features a diverse selection of alternative asset classes, including venture capital, real estate, debt, cryptocurrency, art, and collectibles.
Vincent generates revenue by facilitating asset discovery on its partner platforms and collecting associated fees.
Market Trends and Deal Flow
The company’s initial launch occurred in December, coinciding with a surge in interest in the alternative asset market. This market has continued to expand rapidly since then.
Currently, venture capital and real estate investments account for over half of the capital transacted through the platform. Cryptocurrency investments have experienced a decline in popularity following the recent market downturn.
Equity crowdfunding has provided a significant entry point for unaccredited investors to access venture capital deals, particularly as regulations have eased and this fundraising method has gained traction among founders.
Available Investment Opportunities
Today, the Vincent platform lists over $3.5 billion in searchable deals, spanning platforms such as WeFunder, Groundfloor, Republic, SharesPost, Rally Rd., and Otis.
“The pool of potential investors has never been larger,” Rubin stated.
