Granola AI Note-Taking App Launches Repeatable Prompts

Reusable Prompts Now Available in Granola Meeting Notetaker
The rise of chatbot platforms like ChatGPT and Poe has enabled users to develop and utilize recurring prompts through features such as GPTs and applications.
Recently, web browsers including Dia and Opera Neon have incorporated functionalities – skills and cards – designed to facilitate the completion of repetitive tasks.
Introducing Granola Recipes
Granola, a meeting notetaker, is now introducing its own approach with a feature called Recipes. This allows users to establish prompt shortcuts for repeated use.
A recipe can be activated within a Granola chat by typing "/" followed by the recipe's name.
Creating and Sharing Recipes
Users can construct their own recipes by inputting a prompt and defining its scope – either limited to a single meeting or applicable across multiple sessions.
The company provides a guide to assist users in crafting effective recipes. Furthermore, these recipes can be shared with other Granola users.
Granola's Recipe Library
Granola also offers a pre-built library of recipes, categorized by meeting phase.
- Before Meeting
- During Meeting
- After Meeting
Future Expansion of Recipes
According to Granola co-founder Chris Pedregal, the current focus is on the application and meetings as the context for these repeatable prompts.
However, the company intends to expand functionality to allow connections with other services, broadening the context and enabling recipes to utilize more data.
“User feedback indicated frequent transcript copying to ChatGPT or Claude for chatbot-based questioning,” Pedregal explained to TechCrunch. “This feature provides full Granola context for executing customized prompts.”
Comparison to Other Meeting Notetakers
Other meeting notetakers, including Fireflies, Fathom, and Circleback, also provide templates and prompt-driven insight generation.
However, the majority of these solutions operate after the meeting has finished.
