Beyond Meat Fried Chicken Now Available Nationwide at KFC

Beyond Fried Chicken: A Nationwide Rollout
The belief that nearly any food can be improved through deep frying has been a long-held one. However, this notion hasn't deterred KFC and Beyond Meat from collaborating on a multi-year project to refine the recipe for widespread availability of Beyond Fried Chicken.
Their initial testing phase commenced in August 2019, with a restricted launch at an Atlanta restaurant. KFC reports that the initial inventory was depleted within a mere five hours.
Expanding Availability
Further locations were subsequently included in the trials, featuring Beyond Meat’s plant-based alternative in Nashville, Charlotte, and designated stores throughout Southern California in 2020.
Beginning January 10th, the Beyond Fried Chicken option will become available at KFC restaurants nationwide. It is important to note, however, that this launch is being presented as a “limited time offer.” The duration of this limited availability remains unspecified by either company.
Statements from Leadership
Ethan Brown, CEO of Beyond Meat, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are incredibly proud to collaborate with KFC in delivering a superior product. This offering provides the enjoyable taste consumers associate with this renowned chain, alongside the advantages of plant-based meat.”
He further added, “We are genuinely excited to make this product accessible to consumers across the country.”
Beyond Meat's Growing Partnerships
This announcement builds upon a similar partnership where Beyond Meat introduced its Orange Chicken to 70 Panda Express locations throughout the U.S. last year.
Beyond Meat has also supplied alternative meat products to other major food chains, including Pizza Hut, Denny’s, and Dunkin’.
