Adobe Firefly Now Available on iOS and Android

Adobe Expands AI Capabilities with New Firefly App
Adobe is actively working to establish its platform as a central hub for artificial intelligence applications. In April, the company unveiled a revamped Firefly web application, providing access to both Adobe’s proprietary Firefly image and video generation models, alongside offerings from external developers.
Introducing the Firefly Mobile App
Building on this momentum, Adobe has now released a dedicated Firefly application for both iOS and Android devices. This app grants users access to the full suite of Adobe’s AI models, as well as models developed by leading companies like OpenAI, Google, and Flux.
Model Integration and Functionality
The mobile app incorporates models such as GPT for image generation, Google’s Imagen 3 and Veo 2, and Flux 1.1 Pro. Users can leverage text prompts to create new images and videos, or transform existing images into video formats.
Furthermore, the app facilitates image editing through generative fill capabilities, allowing for targeted modifications. It also supports generative expand, enabling users to seamlessly enlarge images.
Seamless Cloud Integration
Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers benefit from the ability to initiate projects within the Firefly mobile app and store them securely in the cloud. This ensures accessibility across web and desktop applications, fostering a unified workflow.
Expanded Third-Party Model Support
Adobe is broadening its support for third-party models, now including Flux.1, Kontext by Black Forest Labs, Ideogram 3.0 by Ideogram, and Gen-4 Image by Runway. This expanded ecosystem provides users with greater choice and flexibility.
Firefly Boards Enhanced with Video Generation
The company is also enhancing Firefly Boards, its collaborative whiteboarding tool. A new feature allows for the generation of videos directly within the platform.
The Canvas feature empowers users to create videos utilizing Adobe’s own video models, as well as those developed by its competitors.
Significant User Engagement and Subscriber Growth
Adobe reports that users have collectively generated over 24 billion media assets using its Firefly models. The integration of AI features has demonstrably contributed to a 30% increase in first-time subscribers each quarter.
This growth underscores the increasing demand for AI-powered creative tools and Adobe’s success in meeting that demand.
