Add a Google Translate Bar - Easy Browser Translation

Introducing the Google Translation Bar Bookmarklet
Do you find the concept of an instantly available translation tool appealing? Consider exploring the functionality offered by the Google Translation Bar Bookmarklet. This tool provides a convenient way to translate webpages directly within your browser.
For demonstration purposes, we integrated the bookmarklet into SeaMonkey. Installation is straightforward; simply drag the bookmarklet to your browser’s “Bookmarks Toolbar”.
Activating the bookmarklet will launch the Google Translation Bar. It defaults to translating content “to English”, and the option to disable automatic language detection is also available.
Translating from English to Another Language
To illustrate, we tested translating an English webpage into Korean. Clicking the “Arrow Button” reveals a drop-down menu containing a list of available languages.
Select your desired language from the menu, and then click the “Translate Button” to initiate the translation process.
The webpage translation will complete rapidly. A “revert” option allows you to easily switch back to the original language version if needed.
Translating from Another Language to English
Next, we tested translating a Japanese webpage into English. The toolbar automatically defaults to English as the target translation language upon activation.
The translation process is initiated in the same manner as before, resulting in a readily readable translated webpage.
It’s important to note that certain webpage elements, such as Flash content, may not be translated, but this limitation is generally acceptable.
Final Thoughts
If you require a highly accessible method for on-demand webpage translation, adding this bookmarklet to your browser is a recommended solution.
