Accessing Google Reader Feeds on Your Desktop with ReadAir

Are you interested in a method for directly accessing your Google Reader RSS feed from your computer’s desktop? This article explores ReadAir, a desktop client designed for Google Reader, and constructed using Adobe Air technology.

Installation Process

The installation procedure involves navigating through three distinct windows. The initial window presents fundamental details regarding ReadAir; proceed by clicking “Install” to initiate the setup.

The subsequent window offers a program description, prompts for a “Desktop Shortcut” preference, and allows you to configure ReadAir to launch automatically upon system startup. You also have the option to modify the installation directory if desired.

Concluding Thoughts

ReadAir offers a straightforward solution for accessing your Google Reader RSS feeds directly on your desktop. Its primary focus is delivering your feeds efficiently and conveniently.

This project is still under development and can be obtained from Google Code. While it lacks the social features found in other platforms, such as article sharing and commenting, it serves as an excellent tool for quickly reviewing your feeds from your desktop.
