The establishment of offices by major corporations such as Google and Nokia contributes to the development of highly skilled professionals, many of whom subsequently launch their own ventures. Furthermore, an increasing number of events, organized by both the city administration and startup clusters, serve to inspire younger generations to enter the IT field and contribute their innovative concepts.

Poland offers a significant cost advantage in terms of labor expenses compared to Western European nations, attracting numerous companies from Germany and other countries to establish operations here. Wrocław’s proximity to the German border is also a considerable benefit, facilitated by excellent road and air connections.

A primary challenge for Poland lies in the prevailing mindset of its population. As a nation still developing its economy following the attainment of full independence, a segment of the older generation holds traditional business perspectives that may not align with startup concepts. Securing investment from angel investors within Wrocław proves more challenging, as most are located in Warsaw. Seeking smaller investment rounds in Germany is a popular strategy, given the equivalent distance between Wrocław and Berlin as between Wrocław and Warsaw.

Even prior to the pandemic, the suburbs of Wrocław were undergoing substantial development. Individuals were relocating to Wrocław to work with companies like LG, Nokia, and Google.
