4 Tools to Back Up Your Mobile Phone

Mobile Phone Backup Solutions
We've previously discussed methods for backing up emails, WordPress blogs, Firefox settings, and computer files. However, mobile phone backups were not addressed. This article introduces several services designed to safeguard your mobile data, including contacts, calendar entries, text messages, browser bookmarks, phone settings, and notes.
Available Services
As always, the services listed below either offer free access or provide a substantial free account option.
(1) Mobical
Mobical is a user-friendly service for backing up and restoring mobile data over the air. It automatically backs up your mobile address book, calendar, settings, bookmarks, and notes online.
The platform supports a wide range of modern handsets and is accessible from any device with a web connection. You can manage your contacts, schedule appointments, and create notes online, with all changes synchronized to your phone.
Conversely, edits made on your phone will also be synced with the web-based copy, ensuring data consistency.
(2) Bloove
Bloove functions as an online mobile contact manager and backup tool. It allows you to edit address book contacts, configure speed dial settings, initiate calls, and send SMS messages directly from your web browser.
Any modifications made online are automatically synchronized with your mobile device, and vice versa. Currently, Bloove supports only Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones.
The service is designed for minimal data consumption, utilizing approximately 20 Kbytes per hour in idle mode.

(3) ZYB
Update: Please note that this service is no longer available.
ZYB previously offered a convenient solution for backing up and synchronizing your mobile phone’s contacts, pictures, text messages, and calendar events online.
Unlike the other options, ZYB was a mobile networking platform, enabling users to connect with friends, share photos, exchange messages, and stay updated directly from their mobile phones.
(4) Anywr
Anywr is a web-based contact manager and calendar that includes free backup functionality for your contacts and calendar.
Furthermore, it allows you to import contacts from popular email accounts like Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, and Gmail, and then synchronize them with your phone’s address book.
For a comprehensive overview of its features, refer to the Anywr review available on the MUO directory.
