Kitch Raises $4M to Empower Restaurants with Delivery Control

Kitch: Empowering Restaurants in the Food Delivery Landscape
A new approach to food delivery is being pioneered by Kitch, a startup headquartered in Lisbon. The company aims to restore autonomy to restaurants often overwhelmed by the complexities of managing multiple delivery applications.
Kitch achieves this by consolidating these applications onto a single tablet and unified platform. This allows restaurants to centrally manage all incoming delivery orders, monitor courier locations, and efficiently synchronize menu updates across various delivery services.
Seed Funding and Investment
The company has recently secured €3.25 million (equivalent to $4 million) in a seed funding round. This investment was spearheaded by Atlantic Food Labs, with additional participation from Market One Capital, Seedcamp, and Mustard Seed MAZE – Kitch’s original investors.
Kitch began operations in March 2020, focusing on the development of its own unique technology specifically designed to support independent restaurants.
Restoring Restaurant Independence
Rui Bento, co-founder and CEO of Kitch, emphasized the company’s dedication to providing restaurants with the necessary tools. He stated their commitment to both offering and continually improving solutions that allow restaurants to maintain their independence and reclaim control over their digital operations.
Rapid Growth and Market Traction
Patrick Huber, a partner at Atlantic Food Labs, highlighted Kitch’s impressive growth trajectory. He noted the company’s remarkable traction achieved within a short timeframe, occurring within a rapidly expanding market.
How Kitch Works: A Streamlined Solution
The Kitch application enables restaurants to establish their own online storefront. This facilitates the sale of menu items for both delivery and takeaway, fostering direct relationships with customers.
Kitch handles crucial operational aspects, including payment processing, delivery logistics, and customer service. Furthermore, it seamlessly integrates with popular delivery platforms like Uber Eats, Glovo, and Deliveroo.
This comprehensive approach simplifies the delivery process for restaurants, allowing them to focus on food preparation and customer satisfaction.
