Install Office 2013 with Office 365 - A Step-by-Step Guide

Installing Office 2013 via Office 365
The latest Office 2016 release introduces several enhancements and new functionalities, and is now the standard version included with Office 365 subscriptions. However, installation of Office 2013 remains a viable option, either as a replacement or on additional systems.
Accessing Your Office 365 Account
Begin by navigating to https://www.office.com and selecting the "Sign in" option located in the webpage's upper-right corner.

Depending on your subscription type, you might encounter a specific login page. If your Office 365 account is associated with a work or school, utilize the corresponding credentials. For personal Microsoft accounts, click the "Sign in with a Microsoft account" link and proceed with login.

Initiating the Installation Process
After successfully logging in, locate and click the "My account" link, typically found at the bottom of the page.

Within the "Install" section, press the "Install" button to start the download.

Selecting Office 2013
On the "My Office Account" page, find and click the "Language and install options" link within the "Install Information" area.

Subsequently, click the "Additional install options" link to reveal further choices.

From the "Version" drop-down menu on the "Additional install options" screen, choose either "Office 2013 (32-bit)" or "Office 2013 (64-bit)" based on your system’s architecture.

Click "Install" to initiate the download of the installation file.

Running the Installation File
The downloaded file will typically be saved to your browser’s default download location. Chrome may prompt you to specify a save location. To execute the file, click its name in the browser’s "Downloads" panel.
Note: Firefox allows you to configure whether downloaded files are saved to a designated location or if you are prompted for a location each time. Other browsers may offer differing download options.

Alternatively, you can access the downloaded file directly through File Explorer.

A User Account Control prompt may appear, requesting permission to install the application. Select "Yes" to proceed with the Office 2013 installation.

Completing the Installation
A banner will appear indicating that Office is "Getting things ready..."

The installation of Office 2013 will then run in the background. The duration of this process is dependent on your internet connection speed.

Upon completion, a "Welcome to your new Office" dialog box will be displayed. You can either proceed through the setup screens by clicking "Next" or close the dialog by clicking the "X" button in the upper-right corner.

Important Note: It is not possible to have both Office 2016 and Office 2013 installed concurrently on the same computer.
