hear the latest from kayhan space and firehawk aerospace at tc sessions: space

TC Sessions: Space is scheduled for next week, December 16-17, and in addition to conversations with leading figures in the field, we will also be showcasing several of the most promising startups. Kayhan Space is working to manage the growing congestion in lower Earth orbits, while Firehawk Aerospace is developing a novel rocketry system that has the potential to significantly reduce launch costs.
Firehawk Aerospace previously participated (remotely) in the Startup Battlefield at Disrupt, reaching the final round of competition. The company’s primary innovation involves enhancing hybrid rocket technology through the use of 3D-printed fuel. Rather than relying on traditional liquid, solid, or combined fuel reservoirs, Firehawk utilizes a 3D-printing process to create solid fuel with a specifically designed internal structure, resulting in increased reliability and performance. This approach also leads to a simplified engine design, comprised of only 12 components.
Will Edwards serves as CEO and co-founder of Firehawk, marking his first venture in the aerospace industry. Prior to founding the company, he pursued a legal education and gained experience in the software and human resources sectors. He connected with his co-founder and CTO, Ronald Jones, and together they established Firehawk. Currently, they are in the process of assembling a 5,000 LBF thrust engine for testing at the Stennis Space Center.
Kayhan Space is a data-driven company founded by Araz Feyzi and Siamak Hesar, who have known each other since childhood in Iran. Having completed Techstars’ virtual accelerator program, Kayhan Space aspires to function as an air traffic control system for objects in space. As the number of satellites continues to increase rapidly, with thousands more planned for launch in the coming years, effective tracking and collision avoidance become critical. The company addresses the challenge of coordinating different systems to ensure satellite safety and prevent interference.
Araz Feyzi, Kayhan’s CTO, will be discussing the company’s satellite tracking methods and their strategy for entering this emerging market. They have secured $600,000 in pre-seed funding and are just beginning their journey.
To benefit from the insights of these specialists, secure your ticket to TC Sessions: Space. The event will also provide access to video on demand for all sessions, ensuring you don’t miss any valuable perspectives, advice, and trend analysis from prominent founders, investors, technologists, government representatives, and military leaders across the public, private, and defense sectors. Discounts are available for groups, students, and military/government personnel.
The event will feature panel discussions, interviews, fireside chats, and interactive Q&A sessions covering a wide range of topics, including mineral exploration, Earth mapping from space, advanced software technologies, defense applications, 3D-printed rockets, and the future of agriculture and food technology. Don’t miss the dedicated breakout sessions focused on securing grant funding. Review the event agenda now and begin planning your schedule.
