Peacock Sign-Ups Reach Nearly 22 Million - Comcast Reports

The most recent financial report from Comcast reveals official user statistics for Peacock, the streaming platform belonging to Comcast’s NBCUniversal.
According to Comcast, Peacock has garnered close to 22 million registrations since its debut in July, and the service is “surpassing our projections across all key performance indicators in a short period.” The report does not specify the number of these registrations that represent paid memberships, however.
NBCUniversal has highlighted the availability of a complimentary, advertisement-supported access level when promoting the service. This level provides access to an extensive collection of established television programs and films, including titles such as “30 Rock,” “Parks and Recreation,” and “Saturday Night Live.” For expanded content access—specifically, Peacock Originals—and early viewing of new NBC programs, users can subscribe to Peacock Premium for $4.99 monthly, or opt for an ad-free experience at $9.99 per month.
It is important to recognize that the service has experienced certain restrictions on compatibility with connected television devices. Peacock became available on Roku only recently, and remains inaccessible on Amazon’s Fire TV due to ongoing commercial disputes.
In comparison, Netflix recently announced a total of 195 million paying subscribers, while Disney+ reported 60.5 million subscribers as of August 3.
