How S!NG Works

The iOS application is user-friendly. Upon uploading media – photos, videos, audio, or text – users can add supplementary files, identify collaborators, or include notes before finalizing the blockchain registration.

The files themselves are kept private, with a cryptographic hash stored on the blockchain. Encrypted files are securely stored on S!NG’s AWS servers, alleviating concerns about premature public exposure of early-stage ideas.

A potential concern for initial users is the possibility of the startup’s failure and the subsequent loss of server-stored files, a risk shared by many startups relying on centralized servers for NFT media storage.

“If my work is stolen, I have the resources to defend myself and likely achieve a favorable outcome, but a 16-year-old artist may not,” says musician and advisor Raine Maida. “We want to provide that protection, acting as a deterrent. Although using NFTs for legal defense is currently uncommon, the company’s founders anticipate that blockchain-based proof of ownership will gain legal acceptance, mirroring the widespread adoption of technologies like DocuSign.
