Apple Vision Pro Receives visionOS 2.4 Update with Apple Intelligence

On Monday, Apple revealed the release of visionOS 2.4. This update introduces Apple Intelligence-powered features to the Apple Vision Pro. Alongside these AI enhancements, the update delivers new spatial experiences and a dedicated Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone.

Enhanced Capabilities Through Apple Intelligence

The integration of Apple Intelligence on the Apple Vision Pro provides users with advanced writing tools. These tools facilitate text rewriting, proofreading, and summarization, all powered by artificial intelligence.

Furthermore, access is granted to Image Playground and Genmoji. These applications enable the creation of personalized, AI-generated images and emoji.

Improved Photo Management and Memory Creation

Users can now utilize natural language search within the Photos application. Specific images can be located simply by describing their content.

A new Apple Intelligence feature, launched concurrently, allows Vision Pro users to generate a “Memory Movie.” This movie is constructed from their photos and videos, organized around chosen themes.

Additional visionOS 2.4 Features

visionOS 2.4 also incorporates support for several key improvements, including:

• Priority Notifications in Notification Center
• Notification Summaries

Initially, these Apple Intelligence features are available to users whose devices and Siri language settings are configured for U.S. English.

New Spatial Experiences and iPhone App

A new Spatial Gallery app is being launched by Apple. This app provides access to a curated library of spatial content spanning art, culture, nature, sports, and entertainment. Regular content updates are planned.

The newly released Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone offers a range of functionalities. These include queuing app downloads, accessing device information, and discovering tips for optimizing the user experience.

A dedicated Discover page within the app highlights recommendations for new Apple Vision Pro experiences, such as trending applications and games.

Expanded Apple Intelligence Availability

Apple has also announced the rollout of new Apple Intelligence features, including a “Priority Notifications” system. This system is designed to streamline notification management by prioritizing important alerts and reducing interruptions from less critical ones on the Lock Screen.

Moreover, access to Apple Intelligence is being broadened to include the EU. Support for additional languages is also being implemented, encompassing French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.
