amazon’s project kuiper chief david limp is coming to tc sessions: space

TC Sessions: Space (December 16 & 17) is rapidly approaching, and with this year drawing to a close, it’s an ideal moment to look forward and contemplate the possibilities beyond our world.
David Limp, Senior Vice President of Amazon Devices and Services at Amazon, is uniquely positioned to inspire our thinking about the future. Therefore, we are pleased to announce he will participate in a featured one-on-one discussion at TC Sessions: Space 2020.
Mr. Limp leads Amazon’s devices division, overseeing a range of consumer electronics such as the Echo family of products, as well as the ambitious Project Kuiper – Amazon’s planned rival to Starlink.
Project Kuiper is a substantial initiative to create a large satellite internet network, projected to consist of over 3,000 satellites. Its goal is to deliver internet access to a significant number of individuals currently without it, potentially reaching tens of millions of people.
Amazon secured approval from the FCC in July to deploy and operate this satellite constellation, and simultaneously announced a $10 billion investment in Kuiper, encompassing both the satellites themselves and the necessary ground-based infrastructure to provide broadband service to its intended user base.
Mr. Limp has been with Amazon since March 2010, having previously spent four years as a venture partner at Azure Capital Partners. Although his responsibilities cover a broad portfolio of products, including Alexa, Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, and Ring, our conversation at TC Sessions: Space will be specifically focused on space-related endeavors.
Mr. Limp is a valuable addition to the impressive speaker roster at TC Sessions: Space, joining prominent figures like Lt. Gen. John Thompson of the U.S. Air Force, Peter Beck from Rocket Lab, and Kathryn Lueders of NASA. This is an event you won’t want to overlook!
Early Bird Tickets are currently available for $125 until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 20.
